The film is an Akshay Kumar showcase from start to finish. The actor delivers a nuanced performance, effortlessly portraying a range of emotions — disappointment, frustration, gratitude, helplessness, and love. He shines in scenes like his heartfelt plea for a loan at the airport and his endearing awkwardness when borrowing money from Rani to see his plans to come to fruition.

While the film's narrative could certainly be crisper and the length tighter, ultimately, it lands safely. It turns out to be an inspiring tale elevated by top-notch performances from the lead cast. Buckle up for this flight!

Yes, this premise may seem to lack novelty. The slightly optimistic ones may dub it as old wine in a new bottle. After all, we’ve seen rags to riches story play out on the big screen far too many times. But just when you thought that this was a jaded template, comes Sudha in all her glory reiterating how the simplest of stories told well can create magic. And Sarfira starring Akshay Kumar is magical. It’s the kind of film that comes only once in a while but dishes out lessons on how a big-ticket commercial Bollywood film needs to and should get made.

On the whole, SARFIRA tells an inspiring story in an engaging manner and rests on Akshay Kumar's strong performance. At the box office, its prospects would be greatly limited due to a niche subject and limited buzz. It will, therefore, do ordinary business.
